Engineering and Design Empire Die Casting Co., Inc. designs and builds tooling for casting, trim, secondary production and quality control fixtures for die cast parts in a range from ounces to 30+ lbs. Toolroom Capabilities Our toolroom has state-of-the-art high speed milling machinery and EDM (electrical discharge machining) as well as substantial array of support equipment found in a contemporary tool shop. Machining is supported by direct download from our engineering department and design group. All in-house diemakers have achieved their journeymen diemaker certification through our company sponsored apprenticeship program. They are responsible for all advanced CAD/CAM programming, as well as the entire die making process. Weekly progress reports are submitted to customers to keep projects on time. Production Die Casting Empire Die Casting Co., Inc. has casting capacity in zinc, aluminum and ZA. Our machinery size is rated in tons of locking pressure and covers a range from 43 to 1300 tons, with 40 machines overall, covering castings from ounces to 30 lbs. We have the flexibility to produce lots of 1000 minimum quantities to high volume cell-concept production. Machining Empire Die Casting Co., Inc. provides our customers the shortest time line to product completion by providing total production machining in-house. Our equipment includes conventional machining equipment and high precision, state of the art CNC. Finishing Preparation of a die casting for subsequent painting or plating requires cleaning and/or mechanical finishing, and Empire Die Casting Co., Inc. is capable of handling the entire processing cycle for our customers. Quality Control The production of high quality die castings requires the total dedication of an experienced and knowledgeable quality control department. In order to achieve that goal at Empire Die Casting Co., Inc., the company has invested millions to put the latest evaluation/analytical tools into the hands of our staff of 10 process technicians. A sampling of equipment they use to assure the highest quality production includes CMM's, spectrography and the normal complement of inspection/evaluation equipment found in production environments.
